Hi Mary,
Jack was on GH shots for three years (from 3-6yrs old) as a trial. He is not actually GH deficient but the endocrinologist decided to give him a trial to see if it made any difference. He did grow a bit initially but slowed right down again and we decided to stop as it was not working. We do have the option of trying again later if his bone age gets very delayed again but I don't really think we will. It did help with his muscle tone which has reverted back a bit (not much though).
I guess he is just going to be small. He is only 101 cms tall and falling further behind his peers. He is now in P3 at school and almost all of the P1's are taller that him. He knows he's small but it doesn't bother him at the moment.
He should have been tall as I'm 5ft7 and his dad is 6ft1.
It sounds like your daughter is doing well and I'm sure the GH shots are the best thing.
Take care
Elaine
