Hi Laura,my son Joseph is now 8,and like you it was a case of one thing after another.Honest it does get easier.Joseph didn't start walking till he was about 5,he could crawl so fast it was unbelivable.To start with he used a little walking frame,he still doesn't have fantastic balance and prefers to walk holding your hand.
Another issue you may face is toileting.Don't get worring if he dosen't do the norm and learn at a young age,it will happen when he's ready.With Joe he was 7 and even now as he is gastrostomy fed overnight he still wears a nappy.
Like you said we wouldn't change our son for the world,and you won't find no 2 Charge children alike.They are all unique and special in their own way.
