I was born with a small hole at the base of my spine and have a brown patch in that area. I have life long history of bladder problems and constipation, loss of some sensation in my lower extremities, and a tremor. I was also born with sprengle's deformity (one shoulder blade higher than the other). I believe all of these are related to spina bifida occulta. I found a website that was helpful by someone who experienced this and knows how hard it is to get the medical establishment to attribute these problems to SBO.
